Colchester MP visits his 'new local' coffee shop

The town’s MP Will Quince popped in for a cup of coffee this month – describing the shop on social media as his ‘new local’.

It was wonderful to have him pay a visit and I think he was very impressed by the coffee!

As a new business, and one starting off at a turbulent time in the world, it was lovely to get the support of our local MP.

He was a very nice man and wished me all the best in the future.

Afterwards, he even gave us a shout out on Twitter, saying having tried the coffee he was sure we were going to be a huge success.

It has been an amazing month with hundreds of new faces coming in to try our range of delicious hot drinks, scrummy cakes and sandwiches.

I thought our opening month was fantastic, but it has just got better and better through October.

We have welcomed nearly 1,200 customers to the shop since we opened in early September – it’s amazing.

It is so nice to see people coming in to see the shop for the first time, curious about what we have to offer.

Better still is seeing people return, hearing their positive feedback and knowing they really enjoyed their first experience.

At the start of the Covid crisis we were wondering how things were going to pan out – I guess it is a bit unusual starting a up a business like this during a pandemic – but we couldn’t have asked for a better start.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has come to visit the shop, it really means a lot that you choose to support us.

If you haven’t yet, we are open from 7.45am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, at Severalls Business Park in Colchester.

I hope to see you soon!
