At Sarah’s Coffee Shop, we know the importance of taking time to relax and unwind. That’s why this Stress Awareness Month, we’ve always got a warm cuppa and a slice of cake waiting for you.
Stress affects us all. And if we don’t understand the signs and look to improve it early, things can often get worse. But the important thing to remember is support is always there.
Our top tips for dealing with stress
Stress can lead to a lack of energy and confidence. So it’s important to remember the power of self care every day.
That includes considering how much time you allocate to yourself each day, how much rest you are getting at night and if you are meeting your own emotional needs.
So, whenever you feel tension is rising, remind yourself of these simple hints:
Daily positive affirmations reduce stress and negativity. Tell yourself you're doing well, do breathing exercises & meditate daily when you feel tense
Watching a funny movie, doing some yoga or participating in something else that makes you smile or laugh can simply make you feel happier
Do some physical exercise like a walk, run or gym class – this is one of my favourites!
Writing your thoughts in a journal can also help you feel less stressed
Having a coffee and a chat at Sarah’s Coffee Shop is always a great way to unwind
Turning this useful knowledge into positive behavioural change will definitely reduce the level of everyday stress.
If you want, we can do it together at Sarah’s Coffee Shop!
Discovering social connections
We aren’t defined by our stress, but it is something we can all experience at some point in our lives.
Often the best way to deal with stress is to connect with others. It's important to stay in touch with friends and family for both your and their happiness.
Social connection is important, and that’s why we’ve made Sarah’s Coffee Shop a welcoming and inviting place to be.
So, if you’re ever in need of a chat over a coffee and a sweet treat to make you smile, our team are here for you.
Alice, Jacqui and I are always happy to lend an ear – come and see us soon for a coffee!
